Digital nomad (families)

These people are able to work location-independently and, as a result, can effortlessly combine traveling around with earning a steady income. Using various technologies of online communication, they stay in touch with the office or headquarters of their employer or company, making their physical presence unnecessary.

This way of remote working can be applied to full-time work, part-time work or self-employment.

Being a family with two children ourselves, we do not only focus on the nomad traveling alone. Encantada is also happy to open its doors to entire nomad families.

Co(-)working space

Many probably see these as two alternative spellings of the same word and may use them randomly and interchangeably, but each spelling brings its own nuance.

Coworking refers to the collaboration of multiple people with varying functions from different companies in one shared workplace. It follows the gaining popularity idea of being able to work where – when – with whomever one wishes.

Co-working rather refers to the more traditional way of working, where multiple people with similar functions within the same company share a space to work in.

Workation

This term originates from the merging of the words ‘work’ and ‘vacation’. The idea behind it is to allow employees or entrepreneurs to combine work and vacation to sharpen their productivity within a relaxed framework.

At the same time, it helps them de-stress for a while, recharge their batteries and boost their motivation. The duration of a workation can vary from medium to long-term, being several weeks to sometimes even several months.
